Ms. Widgren has been in the energy industry for over 5 years.  Prior to coming to ESCO Advisors™, she served as the Director of Customer Relations for Discount Power, Inc. where she developed the Customer Service Group.  In that role, she also functioned as the EDI Portal Manager where she was frequently called upon to solve data integrity issues and work on solutions with the EDI provider.

Ms. Widgren also has over 17 years of experience in the Reinsurance Industry.  During her tenure with Converium Reinsurance (aka Zurich Reinsurance), Janet managed a broad range of projects for their global IT department.  She was a key member of the IT Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery team, and served as IT point person for all state and SEC audits.  In this role, Janet established, monitored and maintained department procedures to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Janet has a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from SUNY New Paltz and she also did some post-graduate work toward her MBA at Pace University.
